"Amy, Ames, pick up" Sonic muttered to his cell phone
"Pick up pick up pickup" he said tapping his foot, the phone kept on ringing. He put the phone on speaker and paced
Just then, a loud explosion came from Tails workshop. Sonic ran down, cell phone in hand to see Tails and Cream, fur tousled, a fire alarm was beeping. Knuckles and Rouge ran in carrying fire extinguishers. They quickly finished off the fire. Then Rouge took Cream way to clean her up.
"Hello, it's Amy, I'm not available right now, if it's Knuckles, Shadow, Cream, Tails, well everyone but Sonic press one and leave a message. If it IS Sonic, then press the button that says END CALL, unless you have a damn good excuse if so press one and leave a message" Amy's voice said from Sonic's phone
Sonic pressed one, his phone beeped loudly, Knuckles and Tails looked at the source of the sound.
"Why are you calling Amy?" Tails asked
"Who said I was calling Amy" Sonic hedged
"Your phone beeped" Shadow said as he walked in
"I could be calling Wave, or Rouge"
"But they live here" Knuckles put in
Sonic sighed "So what if I was"
"You never call her, or talk to her, you run away from her" Shadow explained, the other two nodded
Sonic glared at Tails "Take a bath" he ordered
"Nah"
"My house my rules, you are too young to hear this kind of conversation"
"Sonic I'm sixteen, just three years younger that you I happen to be dating Cream and-"
Knuckles whispered something into Tails' ear, Tails eyes widened
"Fine, but you guys clean up the lab" he said crossly
"What did you-"
"Told him I would tell Creams mom just exactly how well he and Cream know each other"  Knuckles replied with a dark smile
"Fine now why are you-"
"Guys, if you are going to have a conversation about Sonic's feelings, wait for me" Silver said as he ran down the stairs
"Anyone else?" Sonic asked
"Now why are you calling Amy?" Shadow asked
"Because I have to talk to her"

Amy's room

Amy woke up with a start, she heard a beeping noise. She picked up her  cell phone, there was a call from sonic. She clicked to hear it
"-why are you calling Amy" Shadow's voice said loudly
"Because I have to talk to her" Sonic said
Amy frowned, the message was still recording, then again, who knew what she might hear. As she pondered what to do, she heard Silver ask "So do you love Amy?"
It was settled, she was going to hear this

Back with Sonic
"So do you love Amy?" Silver asked
Sonic stared at Silver in shock, the other two were also surprised.
Sonic spluttered
Shadow stroked his quills "Let's pretend Amy's here, Knuckles, you'll be Amy"
"What why?" Knuckles spluttered
"Because your color is the closest"
"But you two are the same species!" Knuckles yelled
Silver shrugged "Sill, your gonna be Amy"
"No that wont work, I'll just imagine she's here"
"Thank you"Knuckles said getting on his knees "I am in your debt, again"
"OK Amy is here, what are you going to say?" Shadow urged
Sonic passed his cell hone from one hand to the other as he thought
"Amy, I'm sorry for all that i have done, I'm sorry I ran away so much. Ames, I... um... I guess I'm just kinda shy 'bout that stuff... but I want you to know I really do care... What I'm trying to say is that I... I love you" Sonic said, staring at his phone, a picture of Amy was the background, she was smiling up at him, she had given him this photo a month ago. He took a deep breath "I knnow you probably hate me for yelling at you like that, I was wrong, and worried, Eggman almost got you so I obver reacted a little"
"If you call him telling her she was clingy annoying and in the way a 'little'" Silver muttered
"You know what, I'm going over to her house, put this in my room Shadow"Sonic said, giving Shadow the cell phone
"I hear faint crying" Knuckles said
Shadow's eyes widened "Sonic you-"
Sonic sped out of the house "- left your phone on speaker when you called Amy" he finished
Silver collapsed laughing "I wonder how it'll turn out" Knuckles said before collapsing in a laughing fit
Shadow turned off the phone and laughed along with them

Back to Amy
Amy wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled. She closed her eyes and listened to Sonic's apology.
"You know what, I'm going over to her house, put this in my room Shadow"Sonic said
Amy sat up and heard Silver, Shadow, and Knuckles noticing Sonic's oversight
"I wonder how it will end too"she murmured as she put her cellphone in her pocket and wiped away the remaining tears.
She walked outside and basked in the sun. Soon, a blue blur streaked towards her. Amy looked up at Sonic when he knelt next to her. He touched her cheek with a gloved hand, a worried frown appearing on his face
"Why are you crying? Was it because of what I said listen I'm-" he was cut off by Amy hugging him
"You should pay more attention to your cellphone"she told him
"Me? You were the one who didn't pick up" Sonic said as he slowly wrapped his arms around Amy
After a while Amy pulled back, Sonic reluctantly let go. She pulled her cellphone from her pocket. Then Amy took Sonic's hand and pulled him down next to her.
"listen," she told him
Sonic gasped when he heard the conversation he had just had with the guys a few minutes ago.
"That wasn't exactly how I planned to tell you" Sonic managed
Amy scooted next to him "Apology accepted"
Sonic stood up, drawing Amy with him
"I love you so much" Sonic whispered "I-I couldn't imagine life without you"
"Love you too Sonic" Amy said with a smile
Sonic carefully put one hand on her back and the other on her neck, he leaned in slowly and kissed her softly. Amy wound her arms around Sonic's neck and kissed him back. They deepened the kiss, they broke apart for air and kissed again. After a while Sonic rested his forehead against Amy's and took in ragged breaths
"I will never leave you again" Sonic promised "if I need to go somewhere, will you go with me?"
"Yes, I'll be there guarding your back" She promised
"I'll guard yours too, I'll make sure you live a good and happy life, if you'll have me. A life with me could be hard, I move around allot and not always chose the safest place. And if we... if we ever had a baby I can't guarantee it'll be a comfortable lifestyle, but i can guarantee you I will do anything and everything to make sure your safe, with me by your side, Always"
"I'll have you"she said, kissing his nose "Promise me you'll never leave"
Sonic held her tightly. Amy rested her head against his chest, his heart beat surely she was almost asleep when she heard Sonic whisper
"Always and Forever, I promise"

5 years later
Sonic looked next to him at Amy as she slept with their first child, a boy identical to Sonic named after his godfather Miles, and second child, a girl with blue and pink fur named after her godmother Cream, in her arms. He thought back to the past few years, he'd married Amy four years ago, Silver and Blaze were now engaged, Shadow seemed to have found someone, but he didn't speak about her much just that she was a hedgehog named Kally, Knuckles and Rouge had gotten married last month, Cream and Tails had gotten married three years ago. Cream brought her kids over now and again.
Sonic smiled and wrapped his arms around Amy, her belly was growing again, his third child would be born soon. Amy sighed and turned to Sonic, the two kids still in arms, and nuzzled closer. Their two kids sighed contently at the warmth and slept on.
"What are you thinking?" Amy asked him
Sonic leaned closer with care and kissed her "Just all the things that have happened, how I would change none of it"
Amy carefully loosened her arms around their two children to wra them around Sonic's neck
"I wouldn't either, it as all worth it" She said smiling down at her children
Sonic smiled back and put a hand on her belly, he frowned, he was sure he felt a heart beat, but it sounded strange
"What's wrong?" Amy asked
"Noting, it's just  the heartbeat feels strange, like there was an echo"
Amy smiled and kissed Sonic "We're all fine, there's just two instead of one this time"
Sonic smiled "twins?" Amy nodded
"Let's make Blaze and Silver godparents" She told him
"sure, the next two for Shadow and whoever he marries" He suggested
Amy smiled and rested her head beneath his muzzle
Sonic stroked her back slowly "Sleep love, sleep"
Sonic had everything he'd ever wanted and more than he imagined, Amy was right it had been worth it.
